INTRODUCING OUR STAFF & TEACHERS

My name is Debra Lynch, the ResLife Home School IMPACT Director.

I love Abba Father, Jesus & the Holy Spirit. Their GRACE is sufficient for all my needs!!

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Patrick, for 17 years. Together, we have four children: Jada, Michael, Hannah and Joshua.

I am a Veteran and served in the US Army for 8 years and the US Army Reserves for less than a year. I also served in Saudi Arabia for 8 months during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

I was born in Michigan but have also lived in Texas, Germany and Florida.

While being an at-home-Mom and Home Manager for 11 years, I actively participated in my young children’s schools. I served a term as the PTO Secretary at Oriole Park Elementary in Wyoming, MI. I planned parties, scheduled events and even arranged fundraisers. I also actively advertised, in the Wyoming community, the urgency and need for the school bonds to pass on voting day.

In 2015, when my youngest son went into Kindergarten, I was hired as the ResLife Home School Director. I have learned so much about how to love, serve and support homeschooling families. I am blessed to have a great Team of teachers and assistants that make the vision of Home School IMPACT a reality.

I am very excited about the new 2019/2020 school year and the wonderful things God is going to do in the lives of the families enrolling in the Fall.

Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to be a teacher! I started at 6 playing teacher with my younger sister and the passion grew from there!

I taught martial arts for over 8 years.

I am currently enrolled in Leaders for Christ through ResLife Church. While homeschooling my 4 children and teaching at Home School IMPACT, I also volunteer in the young adults ministry, Access.

My future will always involve edifying and uplifting children of all ages! We are all children of God! I will soon be getting my Associates in biblical marriage counseling! God has transformed my life in many ways! I look forward to walk with him every day and pursue His purpose in my life!

My name is Anna Townsend and I am so excited to teach music at the ResLife Home School Program!

Currently, I teach as a private violin and viola instructor at the Academy of Music in Grand Rapids, where I have 10 students.  I have been married to my husband, Jason for 10 years, and we have 3 beautiful children ages 6 (Isla), 5 (Anders) and 3 (Luken), who we homeschool.

My background in music is quite diverse.  I began playing the violin at age 4, and since then, have learned to play the piano, ukulele, guitar and quite a few other instruments.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, as well as a Leadership Minor, which I obtained from Central Michigan University in 2009.  I taught in Kentwood Public Schools for 5 years, where I was a middle school orchestra director, elementary general music teacher, and assistant to the high school ABC Orchestra, (Anything But Classical) which is an alternative styles string performance group.  I have also taught private lessons for about 20 years.

My performance background and musical training is in classical music, as well as alternative styles such as fiddling, rock and jazz.  I have played in the Midland, Alma, Holland and Traverse City Symphonies, as well as having the honor of being concertmaster of the Central Michigan University Symphony.  I began my fiddling journey when I joined my dad’s country style band when I was age 10.  I also was a part of a country rock band for 4 years that opened for artists Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker and Jamie Johnson.  I have also had the honor of being a guest musician in the back up orchestra’s for Josh Groban and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Throughout my musical journey, I have learned that teaching is one of my favorite things to do.  I love to help my students gain a sense of accomplishment through music, and discover that music is always something that brings joy

My name is Bianca Conrad.

I am a home school student, being taught by my mother, Adonia Conrad.

My name is Angela Chapin.

I was raised in Greenville, MI, by my mom, dad, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

My dad passed away when I was 14.

God blessed me with an amazing Step-Dad. He taught me about carpentry and wood- working.  I worked for him many summers. I still do when he needs extra help and my mom can watch my kids.

I went to St. Charles School for 8 years and then graduated from Greenville High School in 1999.  I went to college for 3 years for Elementary Education and earned a degree in Child Development.

I decided to home school my children because of what I learned studying to be a teacher. Also, my mom and brother are teachers and I do not agree with the way children are being taught in public schools.

My name is Jessica Bowling.

I am a stay-at-home homeschooling mom of 4; Michael 12, Kierah 11, Olivia 7, and Ariya 1.

I have a bachelor's degree in education with an endorsement in Science.

I also have a minor in Spanish.

I went back to school shortly after graduating to receive my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

When I moved to Michigan in June 2017, I began teaching second grade at Kentwood Public School.

I also met my husband and we were married in September 2018. God had an exciting milestone for us, which is anxiously waiting for our first baby to be born in August 2019!

My husband and I decided it was a good idea to take a break from teaching full time and I felt God was calling me to do something different with my education degree. I came across homeschool and it caught my attention!

Aside from education teaching, I am a yoga instructor for adults and kids at Renew Mama in Grand Rapids.
