Home School Impact Agreement

COVID WAIVER

Your child's safety is our priority!
The Michigan CDC requires we do the following:
* All Teachers/Assistants will have their temperature taken upon entry to ResLife Church.
* All Teachers/Assistants will be required to wear a mask in the hallways/common areas of ResLife Church.
* Students are not required to wear masks in the building unless that child is ill. If a child is ill, the child will be asked to sit in IMPACT with their mother for that school day. Or the mom and her children will be asked to take her sick child home as not to spread any illness.
* All tables and chairs and shared materials in each classroom will be sanitized between every class and at the end of the school day.
* Any person serving pre-wrapped snacks or food items will be required to wear gloves and their protective mask at all times.
* Social distancing should be practiced as often as possible.
* Hand washing and sanitizing will be practiced often.

After reading the COVID WAIVER above,
you understand that your student will not be required to wear a mask in the classroom.

Welcome to the Resurrection Life Church Home School IMPACT Program!! We are honored to serve you and your family!
Please read the following requirements for this program.

I agree that I must attend the Women’s Thursday Morning "IMPACT" meeting and/or teaching/helping in a home school classroom, or volunteering in the nursery for my child(ren) to participate in the ResLife Home School Impact Program.

Students must check-in prior to 9:15 a.m. and start class at 9:20 a.m.

Parents and students must agree and adhere to our Expectations/Rules/Behavioral Procedures. Hard copies of this document are available at the home school desk.

All payments are non-refundable. We understand that there may be extenuating circumstances that may come up, but please be sure that you are able to fulfill the commitment at the time that you sign up for classes. We would be more than happy to apply the registration cost to the next semester of classes.

All parents are required to volunteer at least 1 time per session. (Volunteering in the Theater Impact Program does not qualify).

Parents are required to provide musical instruments for any classes that apply accordingly.

3rd Hour- THEATER IMPACT is optional but students are required to take the first two hours of classes to qualify for the THEATER IMPACT Program.
Parents are not permitted to leave their child unattended. You must remain in the building.
* There will be an ACTIVE Room provided by ResLife Home School Impact for my child(ren) to read, work or play quietly during the 3rd Hour, considering my child(ren) is not participating in the THEATER IMPACT Program.
I may bring my own laptop if I wish. I am required to supervise my children in the Active Room.
Subject to Covid: - Students ages 3 and older may participate in supervised play in the GYM during 3rd Hour for $1 a child at the door.

  • THIS CLASS IS 9 WEEKS PLUS A FUN DAY
    Worship Movement | 5-8 Yrs | GYM | Class Fee: $19
    Teacher: Esther Akehi & Annika VanderVeen - In this class we will be using our bodies to worship through movement. We will explore different types of dance as well as put together a choreographed piece of music. Please make sure to wear proper clothing and tennis shoes for this class every week.

  • THIS CLASS IS 9 WEEKS PLUS A FUN DAY
    Psalm 91: “ Come into the Secret Place” Bible Study | 9 Yrs & Up | Purple Room | Class Fee: $19 | Material Fee: $5
    Teachers: Dianne Hall & Mackenzie Brouwer - BRING YOUR BIBLES TO CLASS EVERYDAY!! We will be studying the life of Moses as it intertwines with the promises found in Psalm 91. Come prepared to experience God in a way you may have never known Him before.
    Points of emphasis for the class:
    —What is the secret place of God’s Presence?
    —How to “say” and “pray” the Word of God
    —The Names of God
    —No fear here
    —Hearing God’s Rhema Words
    —God gives us angels to protect us
    —Loving God
    —How we call on God in trouble

  • THIS CLASS IS 9 WEEKS PLUS A FUN DAY
    Ukulele Lessons | 10 YRS & UNDER | Green Room | Class Fee: $45 ( The class fee is $5 per hour for 9 weeks) | Material Fee: $2
    Teachers: Anna Townsend & Ryan Vegh - New students must have some knowledge of the ukulele and know how to play the C and F chords. An assessment by the teacher will be required.
    Because the ukulele is a relatively simple instrument, students will quickly be able to sing and play fun songs together. Many of the class lessons will incorporate movement activities to keep young students moving and engaged in music. Consistent class attendance and at-home practice will be the key to success for each student!

  • THIS CLASS IS 9 WEEKS PLUS A FUN DAY
    Bright Beginnings | 4&5 Yr Olds ONLY | Blue Room | Class Fee: $40 | (This fee includes $2 an hour for 2 hours a day for 10 weeks. Includes Fun Day as well.) Material Fee: $5
    Teachers: Diane Bow, Kristina Nesbitt & Frankie Henley - This 2 hour preschool class is specifically for four and five-year-olds. We will continue to follow the Preschool Palace Curriculum Program, filled with learning exercises and hands-on activities. Our focus will be on phonics, counting, hands-on activities, and some fun-filled body movement. It is our desire to REINFORCE skills you are teaching at home in the area of phonics and math. We will have completed activity worksheets to send home and some crafts, as the time frame allows. Class time includes the kid’s favorite show and tell, and read-aloud fun books. Our teachers are excited about the many ways we can get kids moving and exercising their bodies while using fun games and songs. Sign up quickly because this class is sure to fill up.

    Michigan Art Journey Part II | 5-8 Yrs | Purple Room | Class Fee: $19 | Material Fee: $10
    Teachers: Dianne Hall & Mackenzie Brouwer - Let’s take a brand new journey around our amazing state! Each week we will “tour” a different area of Michigan and translate the fun, unique things we learn into different art projects! We will travel from Detroit to the UP and from the Great Lakes to the many apple orchards you will find in Michigan. We're going to explore this wonderful state that we call home

    Music Makers Class | 5-9 YRS | Green Room | Class Fee: $19 | Material Fee: $2
    Teachers: Anna Townsend & Ryan Vegh - Has your child expressed interest in learning about music? Children often have a natural pull towards music, whether through tapping to a beat, dancing, humming or singing along to their favorite songs. This general music class will be a fun way to introduce your child to music and help cultivate their musical abilities. Students will learn basic music concepts all while we sing and dance, explore body percussion, listen to music, and play percussive instruments. This class will be sure to keep young students moving and help them see that music is truly fun and exciting!

  • THIS CLASS IS 9 WEEKS PLUS A FUN DAY
    You Are The Light | 9 Yrs & Up | Zone - Room 466 | Class Fee: S19 | Material Fee: $6
    Teachers: Sarah Vredeveld & Scarlett Henley - In this class we will prepare our hearts to be the light of Jesus. We will show Jesus’ love by making small keepsakes to give to those in need. Each week we will focus on a different group of people to bless, making crafts with a purpose. They will range from hospitals to shelters to jails to retirement homes and more. Our hope is to bring a little Light and Love to not only those we honor but also to ourselves, our students, who give of themselves so freely.

3rd Hour Classes are Optional.

    Welcome to Theater Impact!! Theater Impact is an optional 3rd hour class designed to give students an opportunity to explore the gifts of creativity through drama.

    In this session, we will come together, as a team, to create a production that will be performed before parents and guests on May 13, 2021.

    In this production, students will be actively involved in creating scenes and monologues, as well as singing, dancing, acting and videography.

    We will ask that once you have been given a part in the production that you commit to attending class every week as well as practicing at home.

    The last day to sign up for this class will be January 14th.

  • GYM TIME | 3 YEARS & UP | 11:30 - 12:30 | FEE: $1 PER CHILD AT THE DOOR
    TEACHERS: REBEKAH VANDENHOEK, HANNAH GLESS
    Mom, while you are visiting in the Red Room with friends, we would love to offer you the opportunity to send your children to the Gym for supervised play.
    The cost is $1 per child per week at the door.
    We will provide fun play stations for your 3 - 6 year olds on one half of the Gym and organized/supervised play time with games and balls and other fun stuff on the other half of the Gym for kids 7 years and older.
    Toys will also be provided in the Red Room for children 2 years and younger.

    NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN THE GYM PLEASE.
    If you choose to feed your child a snack/lunch before coming to the GYM, please do so in the Red Room.

    CHILDREN OF ANY AGE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ROAM THE RESKIDS HALLWAYS WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION BETWEEN 11:30AM AND 12:30PM.

    Prior to leaving the Red Room, please sanitize all tables and chairs with wipes & place all toys in their proper containers.
